This is my 27th year of teaching and I still enjoy getting up and going to work every day. I love the challenge that teaching offers...there are never two students or two days alike. And, with the ever changing world of technology, I am constantly learning and updating my skills with the latest software and hardware. There is never a dull moment in this field!
I was born and raised right here in Wichita, graduating from Southeast High School. I received my undergraduate Business Education degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City and earned my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and vocational certification from Emporia State University. I am the District Chair for the Business/Computer Department and a member of the SILT committee. I also belong to the Kansas Business Education Association and the National Business Education Association.
In my spare time you can find my husband and I out on the race track racing Porsches. Last winter, my race car took on a new look (at least on the inside). We took over 300 pounds out of my car, changed engines, and stripped the interior. Hopefully this will make me faster and more competitive. This October will be the big test. I will be racing against my husband for the first time...we'll see what happens!
I look forward to many more years as a Business/Computer instructor at Andover High School. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me at 316-733-1335 ext. 504 or e-mail me at baileyj@usd385.org. I look forward to teaching your son or daughter in the near future.
